Hi, I'm Bjorn Corning
I'm a German-American who has called Lucerne home for over two years.
With an in-depth knowledge of Lucerne's history, I'll share the stories behind the city's landmarks and the details that make them meaningful. I also know the practical tips American travelers need to enjoy Lucerne confidently and avoid the tourist traps.
When you book with me, you're not joining a large group or being passed between guides. You'll spend a few unrushed hours with someone who understands both sides of the journey and can tailor the experience to your questions, interests, and pace.
As a visual artist, I also have a good eye for photography. If you'd like, I'm happy to take pictures of you and your group during the tour so you can stay present and leave with memorable photos of your time in Lucerne.

Walking Tour
A relaxed, unrushed introduction to Lucerne, beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing into the afternoon at your group's pace.
We'll meet at Lucerne train station and begin with the Jesuit Church before crossing the bridge into the Old Town. Then we'll visit the Lion Monument, explore the Musegg Wall, walk through more of the Old Town, and finish at Château Gütsch overlooking the city and the route we've just walked.
The city tour usually takes 2–4 hours, depending on your group's pace and how much time you spend at each location. At the end, I'll also share local restaurant recommendations to help you make the most of the rest of your day.
Optional add-on: Add a 2–3 hour Pilatus Mountain excursion to your city tour, depending on how much time you spend on the mountain, or arrange it as a separate tour on another day.

How long is the tour?
The city tour takes approximately 3 hours, depending on your group’s pace and how much time you spend at each stop. We meet at 9:00 AM and finish in the afternoon, with no need to rush. The optional Pilatus Mountain tour usually takes 2–3 hours, depending on how long you spend on the mountain.
How much does it cost?
The city tour is CHF 100 per person. Please ask if you have a larger group.
Where do we meet?
We meet at Lucerne train station before beginning our walk across the bridge and into the Old Town.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can, especially during the summer season. I’ll do my best to accommodate last-minute requests.
Is the tour private?
Yes. It is just your group and me — no strangers joining along the way.
What happens if the weather changes?
Bookings can be changed based on weather. I’ll consult with guests about rescheduling if conditions change, so we can choose a better day or adjust the plan together.
Can the tour be customized?
Absolutely. Tell me what interests you and I’ll shape our time around your group. Pilatus can be added to the city tour or arranged as a separate tour on another day.
Will you recommend restaurants?
Yes. At the end of the tour, I’ll share personal recommendations for local restaurants that suit your interests and plans.
